How to get a Minor School License.
- Must complete a driver education course.
- Have had an instruction permit and a clean driving record for at least six consecutive months prior to applying for a minor school license.
- Must be at least 14 ½ years old.
- Must live at least one mile or more from your school.
What can I do with a Minor School License?
- Drive from your home to your school for class or school sponsored activities.
- Must take the most direct route to and from your school.
- You can stop for fuel at a gas station that’s on your route or one that is closest to your route.
What you can’t do with a Minor School License.
- Drive to work without adult supervision.
- Use a cell phone or any other type of electronic communication device while driving.
- Have more than one unrelated minor passenger.

Violations of a Minor School License could result in a 30 day suspension of your license and fines.
