Overview
The Winterset Parks and Recreation Board is a five - member board. The board shall have at least three members who reside within the corporate limits of the City and two members who may reside outside the corporate limits of the City but shall reside within the Winterset Community School District. The Board advises the Council on the needed facilities to provide open space such as parks, playgrounds and community facilities for other forms of recreation. It shall also plan and oversee City programs, and encourage other programs, for the leisure time of the City’s residents of all ages.
Meetings
Meetings are held monthly and the public is encouraged to attend.
